Rope is a term that defines a particular type of distribution of digits in a chute. It is used in Braid Analysis.
In a rope, a group of 3 digits appears in 3 intersections in the chute. In other words: the 3 digits all belong to a single strand. The alternative distribution pattern is called a braid.
