Talk:Squirmbag

Like hidden and naked subsets, fish are complementary and therefore knowing about a squirmbag is not worth your time because they are much more difficult to spot then x-wings, swordfish, and jellyfish.

Except, as the article points out, some solvers prefer to search for fish in the rows only (or the columns only). They might find a squirmbag in the rows but miss its complementary x-wing in the columns. It's a matter of personal taste whether or not you find them useful.

Thank you for pointing this out. My personal taste is to find the smallest fish I can, but now I realize that for some players it may be easier to work only in the rows or only in the columns.
