A suggestion: is there a way of standardizing the display of grids? It's a bit disorienting to have the format of examples change from page to page. --Nd 06:50, 11 November 2006 (CET)
Hi nd,
For these situations, Wikipedia has a {{sofixit}} template, which would be used as a standard answer.
I've started this wiki using text examples at first, then used SudoCue screenprints, and finally created a {{grid}} template that creates a grid in a HTML table. Others have also added their material with their own format.
This is an open wiki, not a one-man project. If you think it would be better to standardize samples, write some guidelines and put it on the Help page. Adding content is my main priority at this moment. We can always improve the quality and appearance later on.

I guess I am guilty of contributing example grids in at least three or four different formats... Heh! I simply used whatever format I found convenient. --Unkx80 13:40, 11 November 2006 (CET)
- I prefer clear displays (i.e. nicely done PNGs/GIFs/etc., or else an HTML table) to pure text examples for most purposes. Other than that I don't have a strong preference, except for some kind of standardization (esp. within a single page of examples). What programs do people typically use to create their diagrams? Would there be one or two we could settle on? -- Perhaps this discussion needs to be moved to a different talk page (which one?) --Nd 05:15, 12 November 2006 (CET)
