I use myself a text based Rule File format which allows to describe many sudoku variants as well as many other puzzle variants. (It is possible to note almost all puzzles of sachsentext.de by this format. So it is more flexible as other exchange formats used so far. With respect to the sudoku variants on this page there are only limitations to the overlapping sudoku varieties.) It is readable by humans as well as by computers. Is it of your interest here to have the rule file description for the sudoku variants on the sudoku variant pages?
