Sudopedia:Policy
From Sudopedia
Keep this Sudopedia clean. Read these guidelines before you make your contributions:
[edit]
Topics
- Use the singular form of a word or term, unless only the plural form is known.
- Use a redirect page for each alias. This allows other writers to use their prefered terms, which can still be linked to the term definitions.
- Do not create pages for topics which have no special meaning for Sudoku players. Use an InterWiki link to Wikipedia if it has a definition.
- Create separate pages for abstractions. The fish page defines the main concept, with links to the pages for specific types of fish.
[edit]
Internal Links
- In each topic, use an internal link for a defined term only for the first occurrence of that term.
- In a list of defined terms, always use internal links.
[edit]
Category Links
All solving techniques should include [[Category:Solving Techniques]]. They should also be listed in the solving technique topic.
[edit]
External Links
Use sparsely. The Wiki is checked at a regular basis to remove spam links. External links must be relevant to the topic. The Sudopedia is no advertising board for your Sudoku website.
[edit]
Language
- Use English only. If enough people are interested, we can set up a Sudopedia for other languages.
- The preferred spelling is US-English.
- No arguments in the main topic. Use the talk pages for your discussions, or start a thread in one of the listed Sudoku Forums.
- No foul language. Users who violate this rule will have their IP and user profile blocked for some time.
- No spam. Violaters will be blocked immediately.
